The Veterans Wellness and Mental Health Program (VWMHP) supports veterans and their families through comprehensive wellness and mental health services. Our goal is to enhance the overall well-being of veterans by providing access to essential resources that promote physical health, mental wellness, and family support.
Individual Counseling: Therapy sessions for veterans and their families to address issues like PTSD, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Group Therapy: Peer support groups for shared experiences and emotional support.
Crisis Intervention: Immediate assistance for veterans and families facing mental health crises.
Workshops: Educational programs on mental health management, coping strategies, and stress reduction.
Fitness Programs: Access to gym memberships, yoga, and fitness classes, both virtual and in-person.
Nutrition Counseling: Personalized diet plans to support veterans’ health needs and wellness.
Health Screenings Referrals: Free health screenings for chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.
Physical Rehabilitation: Partnering with physical therapists to support veterans recovering from injuries or chronic pain.
Family Counseling: Therapy for veterans and their families to strengthen relationships and improve family dynamics.
Parenting Support: Resources for veterans who are parents, focusing on balancing family life and personal well-being.
Children & Adolescents Programs: Mental health services and activities for the children of veterans to support their emotional growth.
Spouse Support Services: Dedicated programs to help spouses of veterans manage stress, employment readiness, and family life.
Personalized Case Management: One-on-one support to access the full range of wellness and mental health services.
Referral Services: Connecting veterans and families to healthcare, legal assistance, housing support, and community resources.
Advocacy: Helping veterans navigate VA systems and advocate for their wellness needs.
Veterans currently enrolled in MVEN’s programs or referred by local VA hospitals or community partners.
